Creativity works is a charity, specialising in delivering creative projects with communities
The Art Group

The Art Group was set up for children and young people across B&NES who encountered complex challenges and issues in their lives, particularly those affected by domestic violence.

The group ran periodically between 2005 and 2009 as a partnership project between Barnado’s, Creativity Works and artists Kate Gold and Andrew Eddleston.
The creative process was used the group to facilitate an outlet in a safe space, to regain confidence, self esteem and sense of value in achievement, whilst working and building relationships with others. The group was not by any means a form of ‘therapy’.

"I have seen how providing a safe and supportive environment in which to work with creative processes, combined with discussion can enable people to express and integrate emotions in a safe way. It can bring about a developing sense of self and sense of value."
