In its ten year history the Creative Links project has delivered progressive arts workshops for people with enduring mental health challenges in Bath and North East Somerset.
Creative Links is delivered in partnership with mental health service providers. The project utilises a range of art forms including rambling with digital photography and dance. Since inception the project has been funded and supported by a number of different trusts, organisations and public authorities, including the Arts Council England, Rethink, B&NES Social and Housing Services, Primary Care Trusts and the NHS.
“Creative Links is an invaluable service, it builds self-esteem and develops focus and motivation within service users lives. These groups have more effect than some anti depressants because over the weeks people build upon confidence and can see their achievements which enable them to see progression within themselves”
Heather Bonsey, Community Options Team, B&NES Council.
